Initiatives
The various initiatives of the LTI DEI committee are organized according to the framework of the School of Computer Science DEI strategic plan, namely: Training and Education, Access and Success, Measuring Progress, and Community. Since our committee's inception in 2020 we have: (i) implemented a mentoring program to provide support for students; (ii) included students in the LTI admissions process; (iii) requested feedback from the LTI community, and (iv) engaged in community building through events such as town halls and smaller group discussions that facilitate the exchange of personal stories from a DEI perspective.
Resources
CMU and SCS offer resources to faculty, students and staff to support them in their quest to build a community that holds Diversity, Equity and Inclusion as core values, and simultaneously challenges systems that have historically perpetuated injustices.
